About

FTL POLITICS delivers unfiltered insights into Fort Lauderdale politics—local government, campaigns, and the power players shaping our future.

This site was founded by a group of concerned residents who are fed up with the dysfunction, hypocrisy, and outright mismanagement coming from City Hall. For too long, our city has been run by officials more concerned with political favors and campaign donations than with the people they were elected to serve.

We’re here to expose the truth.

From public land giveaways and shady zoning approvals to infrastructure disasters, environmental failures, and backroom deals, FTL POLITICS exists to shine a light on the real story—the one most politicians hope you’ll never hear.

We’re not lobbyists. We’re not developers. We’re residents—neighbors, voters, professionals, and civic advocates—who love this city and refuse to stay silent while it’s being sold off, paved over, and neglected.

My name is John Rodstrom III, and I proudly serve as the Chief Editor of FTL POLITICS. I grew up here. I live here. And like many of you, I’ve had enough. What started anonymously was never about secrecy — it was about keeping the spotlight on the issues, not the author. While my peers still wish to remain anonymous, and I respect that, I stand publicly behind what we publish. I personally verify and source every editorial, every claim, and every fact we share. I hope that gives you the confidence to know that our opinions are serious.

If you believe in transparency, accountability, and a city government that works for everyone—not just the insiders—you’re in the right place.
